Deb Cox
Deb Cox is a story creator, writer, editor and creative producer who began her career in the 1980s at Crawford Productions in Melbourne. Her early freelance career included a stint as a project officer for the Australian Film Commission and as head of drama for Artist Services where she developed a range of feature film and television projects, including the ABC miniseries Simone de Beauvoir’s Babies and the feature film Dead Letter Office.
As part of CoxKnight Productions she was a driving force behind three series of the acclaimed ABC drama SeaChange, executive producer, co-creator and co-writer of the Ten Network series CrashBurn and executive producer of the children’s series Worst Best Friends.
More recently, she has written for one of Australia’s first on-line narrative dramas, PS Trixi, freelanced as an episodic writer for the Showtime series Satisfaction, co-created/co-written and co-produced two series of the ABC’s East of Everything.
