Miss Fisher Collection driven by fans’ love for fashion
Collaborating on the Miss Fisher Collection, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries costume designer Marion Boyce and Every Cloud Productions, continue to build on the popularity of our jewellery and fashion accessory range with more pieces added to the collection in time for Mother’s Day.
The collection contains pieces that allow fans to experience the elegance of the 1920s with a modern twist. Available for purchase exclusively online via the Every Cloud Online Shop, the range includes brooches, earrings, handbags, shrugs and scarves. The latest release of scarves and shawls are limited edition pieces, designed and curated in accordance with Marion’s vision of creating a line that’s one of a kind.
In late March, six fashion bloggers (and avid fans of Miss Fisher) were given the opportunity to sit down with the award winning costume designer at the picturesque trust property, Labassa mansion, thanks to the National Trust of Australia (VIC) and Nuffnang . The bloggers received an exclusive insight to the world of Phryne’s fashion and were privy to Marion’s inspiration for the collection.
“People have been very excited about clothes and so after a while, [because] we we’re doing the costume exhibitions, we decided to put together a range” says Marion.
Sonia De Macedo, from fashion blog Daring Coco, identified Marion’s “strong sense of identity and clear direction … She describes her pieces as being very much wearable now, and in the near future. Having perused them myself I can attest to this. Each piece is clearly well thought out and very much transcendent”.
Marion also offered an insight into the role costuming plays in bringing characters to life. Recycled Fashion noted “…next time I watch an episode of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, I will study each costume in greater detail, knowing the importance that fashion has to convey the 1920s in the famed TV show”.
“It is no overstatement to say that with a few pieces of simple black in your wardrobe, this collection could enhance their beauty and purpose to an entirely luxurious ensemble. They make the concept of keeping a minimal wardrobe with exceptional accessories incredibly appealing”, commented Candice DeVille from Vintage Current.
With Mother’s Day coming up, the collection has a range of bespoke gift ideas to spoil your mum, with new scarves and shawls being released on the site over the next few weeks in the lead up to Mother’s Day.
Together with the National Trust, Every Cloud has also created the Miss Fisher Costume Exhibition, which gives fans of the show the opportunity to see the incredible fashion up close. The exhibition is currently showing at National Trust in NSW until June 19 before it moves on to Brisbane in July.
