Every Cloud receives Film Victoria Business & Leadership Funding
Every Cloud Productions are excited to announce that we have been named as one of eight companies to receive Film Victoria’s Screen Business Ventures funding at last night’s Film Victoria’s Corporate Plan 2017-20 launch.
Every Cloud will share in more than $2.7m to implement specific strategies which will increase the company’s growth and output capacity. Leveraging our industry experience and success, the funds will be used to grow our international market presence, ensure financial resilience and most importantly, showcase Australian talent to the world.
We share the honour with other leading Victorian screen companies, including independent game developers League of Geeks and Mighty Games Group, drama production businesses Arenamedia, Carver Films, Princess Pictures, December Media and documentary specialist Genepool Productions.
In addition to this announcement, Every Cloud’s CEO Fiona Eagger also received the 2017 Film Victoria-Natalie Miller Fellowship Women in Leadership Development Initiative. As one of five recipients, Fiona will engage in the tailored development opportunity to build her leadership skills and professional expertise.
Fiona Eagger said “It’s an honour to be a part of Film Victoria’s ongoing support for women in the screen industry through the WILD initiative. Their investment is a great commitment to Victorian screen businesses and supporting and inspiring women to reach their potential at all stages of their careers is so important for the growth of our industry."
At the 2017-20 Corporate Plan event, Film Victoria outlined continued support for gender equality, diversity and inclusiveness in the Victorian screen industry. This includes a commitment to see women comprise 50 per cent of writers, directors and producers across the productions funded in the next five years and an ambition to double the number of women currently employed across all funded games.
