Local Investment for Gods
The Gods of Wheat Street has been granted additional funding from the NSW Government Northern Rivers Jobs Plan.
The production is directly investing $2.8m into the Northern Rivers region through the employment of 77 full-time equivalent staff over a six-month period, and investment in local businesses and services.
Producer Lois Randall was quoted in the Northern Star, saying she believed the production will provide welcome opportunities for the "established cluster of talented screen industry personnel who live in the region, but struggle to find work locally".
